The David Francey Duo
Date: Tuesday 11 September 2012
David Francey was born in Ayrshire but emigrated with his family to Toronto, Canada, when he was 12.
David worked as a carpenter for most of his life until recording his first CD, Torn Screen Door, in 1999. Since then, he has been a full-time performer and is now recognised as one of the finest Singer Songwriters in North America.
To date, he has released 9 CDs. His most recent CD, Late Edition, received two Canadian Folk Music Award Nominations. David Francey is a three-time winner of a Juno Award which is the Canadian Equivalent of the Grammys.
David Francey writes straightforward songs which tell honest stories of real people and real places. His songs and stories are a direct connection for audiences seeking depth and meaning in the day-to-day.
