Jake Cogan and The Liberty Roses
Date: Tuesday 19 June 2012
Jake Cogan is one of the rising young stars of Scottish Music.
She has been described by Boo Hewerdine as "my favourite new singer". Mike Harding of BBC Radio Two described Jake Cogan's version of Rain and Snow "as one of the greats".
Jake has also received this tribute from the legendary Dick Gaughan -
"On rare occasions you realise that what you are listening to is what a real singer should be, someone with a direct connection between soul and voice. Jake Cogan is one of those rare few."
Jake Cogan is touring in June and July with her five-piece band, The Liberty Roses, in order to showcase her new album which is due for release in May.
The Liberty Roses are Jed Potts on guitar and slide guitar, Craig Ainslie on upright bass, Emily Peppers on violin and viola with Daniel Grant on drums.
