Eric Taylor is a very fine singer/songwriters from Texas.
His songs have been recorded by luminaries such as Nancy Griffith and Lyle Lovett.
Eric Taylor is known for his anecdotal songs which often give the impression of being almost short stories. The Eric Taylor Album entitled "Shoeshine Boy" was voted Album of the Year at the Kerrville Folk Festival. In the UK, a number of Eric Taylors songs have been recorded by the leading English Folk Singer, June Tabor.
Although in some ways, Eric Taylor is a well kept secret, he is regarded by many as the best songwriter ever produced from Texas.
