Bob Hall - Music Goes Round & Round

Date: Friday 12 March 2010

Bob Hall - Music Goes Round & Round
Britain's finest blues 'n boogie pianist, Bob Hall's distinctive and original style has influenced generations of piano players. He first came to fame in the sixties, playing folk clubs with the great Alexis Korner, and leading bands including several current members of The Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac and Manfred Mann.

A composer of distinction, Bob mixes original songs and traditional folk blues in his themed shows. Each song comes with a story, often with a humorous twist, delivered in Bob's disarming, understated vocal style.

Much credit for the success of The Bob Hall Show goes to Bob's partner, Hilary Blythe, whose moving treatments of blues and gospel classics are highlights of their performance, and whose swinging bass underpins his masterful piano wizardry.

The Music Goes Round & Round is a light-hearted glimpse at the history of blues and hillbilly recording and the characters whose huge egos and wild deeds shaped the folk songs of minorities into today's popular music.
