Jim Malcolm

Date: Tuesday 25 August 2009

Jim Malcolm
Jim Malcolm is one of the leading figures on the Scottish Folk Scene. He was named as Songwriter of the Year at the Scottish Trad Music Awards in December 2004.

In 1999, Jim Malcolm replaced Ian Benzie as the Lead Singer of The Old Blind Dogs, who are probably Scotland's most popular International Folk Band.

Until 2007, Jim Malcolm played with the Band all over the U.K. and Europe as well as in North America.

Jim Malcolm has appeared on many previous occasions at Montrose Folk Club. His innovative musicianship on guitar and harmonica, outstanding vocals and humour have always enthralled a very enthusiastic Folk Club audience.
