Genticorum are an outstanding three piece Band from Quebec. The Band are both energetic and folky.

Their performance features gorgeous vocal harmonies, frenzied rhythms, intricate fiddle and flute work with guitar and bass accompaniment in a jubilant musical feast.

The Band won the Award for Best Album at the 2008 Canadian Folk Music Awards in respect of their 2008 release entitled “La Bibournoise”.

The album builds on the trademark sound of Genticorum. It combines rollicking interpretations of traditional quebecois folk songs with a collection of original instrumentals written in the traditional style.

The members of Genticorum are Yann Falquet on guitar and jews harp, Alexandre de Grosbois on flute, bass and fiddle, with Pascal Gemme on fiddle and step dancing. All three members of the Band contribute wonderful vocals.
